• Every October, Albuquerque hosts the International Balloon Fiesta which brings a whopping 100,000 visitors to the city to watch the most beautiful array of hot air balloons you'll ever see.
• Despite the desert, it's always a little chile in Albuquerque.  Green chile is a major staple in this city, and if someone tells you to order your food "Christmas style," that means with red and green.
• One of the biggest shows of the modern era, Breaking Bad, was filmed in ABQ.  You can even find blue meth candy and blue meth candy donuts in town! (Sounds almost as addicting as the real thing, right?)
